I was pretty confused with what going on during the whole presentation of our songs. What surprised me the most was that the concept that was used to inspire the 45 second demo, suddenly didn't matter anymore in the full 2:30. I was focused on trying to relate whatever I was going to create in the song to my concept and that was pretty much what I kept falling back unto. But other elements came up like the songwriting or performance. I mean I guess reflecting now, its pretty understandable and it was my fault for excluding those elements since they're the foundation of song making. Though it bums me out that those elements ended up being the main focus instead of the concept that we researched on and tried expanding on. Another thing that I thought was a huge blunder for me was my mix for the song. I think I wasn't listening too intently when I was mixing so that part was hugely my fault and something I will definitely learn from. I think it could have been avoided if I...
